Wendell Harris retires as Bates County Memorial Hospital Chief Executive Officer
After 16 years of service to Bates County Memorial Hospital, Wendell Harris has retired as Chief Executive Officer. A farewell party was given by the hospital where he was presented with a plaque and gift by Jerry Jones, Hospital Board of Directors Chairman. Wendell has spent twenty-one years of his career in the healthcare finance and administration field, with 16 of those years at BCMH.
Wendell has served BCMH with integrity and commitment. His diligence as a leader has led the hospital to a financial situation that most hospitals cannot boast – BCMH is debt free. The bonds of the new hospital addition are paid in full and there is no other outstanding debt owed by the hospital.
Wendell and his wife, Linda, will be relocating to Phoenix, Arizona. He will be greatly missed by hospital staff.
