Weather rains on Adrian's parade

The past few days of rain dumped a minimum of 12-14 inches of rain in the Adrian area and, quite literally, drowned the local Independence Day celebration plans. First, it caused the cancellation of the truck and tractor pull and the giant fireworks display. Then, it rained out the parade plans and the scheduled activities on Saturday, June 30 at the City Park.

“It was a total washout,” said Optimist President Cary Six. “Everything now can be summed up to, ‘see you in 2008’.”
