Water plant improvements

Mike Lally and Lisa O’Dell of Olsson Associates (Engineers), David Ross of Ross Construction Company and Mayor Ray Cusumano met April 16, 2008 to discuss the Adrian Water Treatment Plant (WTP) improvements. Construction on the project began February 25, 2008, with final completion date scheduled for April 1, 2009.

David Ross stated that the slab and walls of the Membrane Feed Pump Basin had been poured, a six (6) inch water main had been relocated, and that construction had begun on the west access drive into the WTP. Work projected for the next two weeks includes the backfill to the Membrane Building, beginning the underground electrical and the yard piping, and the completion of the access drive. David noted that this schedule was contingent on weather conditions.

Others attending the meeting were: Ryan Kimmel, Ross Construction Co., Larry Ritter, North Alderman, Mark Griffith, Public Works Director and Rose Marie Randolph, Interim City Administrator. Rod Kirkland, of Olsson Associates, attended the meeting via telephone. The next progress meeting is scheduled for May 21, 2008.
