Vision 2007 improvements continued this week as Hilty Quarries workers dug up sidewalks and curbs and installed storm sewers on Main Street. Pictured, above: The Associates in Family Care building on the corner of Main and Virginia Streets was barricaded from pedestrians on Monday, July 16. At right: Adrian Lanes lost its sidewalk to jackhammers and other equipment. According to Hilty Quarries Project Manager Jim Jacomb, progress will continue next week on the Main Street storm sewer excavation and installation. A concrete crew is also scheduled to arrive to begin curb installation on the north side of Main Street. Sidewalk removal will continue and road grading will begin. Traffic flow on Main Street will continue until it becomes unsafe for construction workers and Adrian residents.
