VFW Honors Local Teachers

The Adrian VFW presented the National Citizenship Education Teacher Post Recognition Award to Adrian teacher Julie Carr (right) and Ballard teacher Jim Kershner (far right).
To be considered for this award, teachers are nominated by a school administrator or fellow teacher for their patriotism in teaching. The local VFW Post selects a winner from each school. As of the time the Adrian Journal goes to press, Julie and Jim could be the district winners for this prestigious award. District winners will then go to state and maybe even nationals.
