Veterans Day 2011

Veterans Day in Adrian was a time to respect and thank the men and women in the area who have served or are serving in the United States military. The morning began with a short service at the Veteran’s Memorial. Alexis LaBat sang the National Anthem. At the school, veterans were honored at an assembly. Students read, sang or played patriotic essays and music. Mickey Romine, an Army Medic and Ranger in WWII, shared his hiatus in the second World War, and his experience in Italy as a POW.
The Adrian Community Library honored veterans as well. Veteran Steve Hubbard was the emcee for an evening filled with patriotism as well as raising funds for the Library.
