United States Post Office promotes Breast Cancer research
Once again the United States Post Office is promoting sales of the Breast Cancer Research First Class Semi-Postal Stamp in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The stamp sells for 55 cents each or $11.00 for 20. It can be purchased in any denomination. The first Breast Cancer Stamp was issued on July 29, 1998 and was the first semi-postal stamp in U.S. history. The difference between the price of the Breast Cancer Stamp and a regular first class stamp is given to fund Breast Cancer research. Since it first went on sale over 76.3 million dollars has been raised.
Chances are you know of someone, perhaps a relative, friend or acquaintance that has had breast cancer. Please show your support and help fund research to end this terrible disease by purchasing Breast Cancer Stamps. They make great gifts for any occasion and are always in style.
