A unique program benefits Adrian students

Yoss Thriftway is a leader in supporting youth, and owner Kip Yoss established a cooperative program years ago with Adrian PTO to benefit Adrian R-III students. Throughout the year, parents and community members send in their Yoss Thriftway receipts to school or place them in designated boxes around town. Adrian PTO Receipts Officer Traci Johnson gathers the receipts and totals them. From the total amount of the receipts turned in, Yoss Thriftway donate 1% to Adrian PTO.
This year, Adrian PTO and Yoss Thriftway are pleased to announce that the amount raised for the 2010-2011 school year is higher per student, for a grand total of $2,732.78. With this money, Adrian PTO grants educational purchases up to $100.00 each for 25-30 Adrian Elementary teachers and certified staff. Purchases have included: books, classroom supplies, rewards for students, eye glasses for a student, musical instruments, PE equipment, and much more.
Beginning the first day of school for the 2011-2012 school year (August 18, 2011), you can send in your receipts once again! They will be collected until the last day of school.
