There’s Someplace like home in Archie

Did you know there is SOMEPLACE in Archie that you can relive the nostalgia of days gone by? It looks and feels like the good old days, it has a family atmosphere, and you can enjoy the best ice cream around at The Old Time Soda Fountain (Someplace) on Main Street in Archie.

Vicki Cooper-Tobin is the owner of Someplace, a restaurant in Archie that opened on May 20. “Opening an old time restaurant is something I have always wanted to do,” Vicki said, “and when this building came open I decided to make a dream a reality.” Vicki’s inspiration to open Someplace comes from working side-by-side with her Grandmother at the Burger Bar in Osceola.

On the menu you will find tasty items like footlong chili cheese dogs, chili, hamburgers, homemade french fries and Suzie Q’s and onion rings. A customer from Raymore travels to Archie for their large tenderloins. Quality shakes, malts and sundaes are always available, too. The most interesting menu item is something you cannot find in this area: stuffed nachos. Kids and adults love them, and they are great snacks. The menu is a work in progress, and items will continue to be added.

Someplace is open Monday - Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. It is also open before and after all home games, giving Archie High School students a local place to go.
