Storm roars through Adrian, causes destruction in Drexel

Right: Severe storms roared through Adrian and Drexel late Monday night causing extensive tree and property damage. A large portion of the Kansas City area was affected by high winds and hail. The storm was responsible for power outages, wind damage and flooding concerns for Adrian and the surrounding communities. In Drexel, reports of buildings, downed power lines, and uprooted trees were prevalent. Basic services such as power, and telephone were interrupted. Emergency response crews were proactively checking elderly and homes where the worst damage had occured.
