Steve Oldfield update
Many of you have inquired about Steve Oldfield's condition. I am floored by the amount of support this community has given to Steve and his family, and to the Journal. Updates can be obtained by visiting caringbridge.org/visit/steveoldfield. Jill and Chara, Steve's daughters, set up this site to inform well-wishers of Steve's progress, and to give them a chance to write Steve a message of hope. From the site on Tuesday evening, "Dad did get a little fever and so they are trying to get it down and he isn't digesting his food very well so they have turned his feeding tube off. He was very aware this morning. When Brad and I went in there I was in his face telling him that I loved him and asked him to say it to me and he moved his mouth to tell me. That was awesome. He definitely knows who we are. When mom was asking him to open his eyes told him that she loved him, she got a slight eye opener" (written by Jill Oldfield). Be sure to visit the Guestbook when at caringbridge.org and to keep praying! Also, an account has been set up at the Adrian Bank to help the Oldfield's with expenses. If you are interested in donating, visit one of the three Adrian Bank branches or send a check to P.O. Box 127, Adrian, Missouri, 64720, attention Lori.
