Senior Kaitlin Hendrick Named Adrian Optimist Student of the Month

For the final time this school year, the Adrian Optimist Club has recognized an exemplary student. Senior Kaitlin Hendrick was selected as the Adrian Optimist Student of the Month. Kaitlin is the daughter of Jim and Kathy Hendrick. Kaitlin has been active in her high school years. Her activities include: softball, volleyball, National Honor Society, Student Council, Senior Representative for Student Council, FFA, Quill and Scroll, yearbook and band. Her all-time high school favorites are sports and computers.
In the fall, Kaitlin will be pursuing a degree in Occupational Therapy from Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville. When she enters the therapy program, she plans to attend Rockhurst College or the University of Missouri.
For her hard work in school, Kaitlin received a certificate of recognition and $20 in Adrian Chamber of Commerce “Chamber Bucks” from the Adrian Optimists. Pictured left to right are: Optimist President Jim Binkley, Kaitlin Hendrick and Optimist member/R-III Superintendent Kirk Eidson.
Students of the month are selected by AHS faculty based on the following criteria: improvement in or good grades; academic excellence; character; active and/or community service; leadership; accomplishments: academic, athletic, or community; behavior; attendance; and attitudes toward others/learning.
