R-III band students receive high ratings at music contests


Congratulations to two Adrian High School and 28 Adrian Middle School band students for their accomplishments at two music contests. This past Friday, May 2, Hunter Chamberlain (trumpet) and Rachel Mann (snare drum) competed at State Music Solo Contest where they received Outstanding II ratings on their solos.

Saturday, May 3, 28 Middle School band students competed at the Fort Scott Elementary Music Festival. The band received an Exemplary I rating on their pieces. The same 28 students competed in 29 separate solos and ensembles. They received 22 Exemplary I ratings and seven Outstanding II ratings.
