Principles of Engineering
In the 2012 - 2013 school year, Adrian R-III expanded its high school courses to include an Introduction to Engineering class. This year, the next course level has been added. Like the introduction class, Principles of Engineering will count as both high school and college credits.
To date, the second year engineering students are using “Project Lead the Way” to construct hydrogen cell cars. Mr. Jim Hogan, Engineering Teacher, challenges the students to think beyond the instructions and create their own hydrogen cell cars. The students have accepted that challenge and are making tremendous progress. Students also keep a portfolio, which can ultimately lead to things such as patents.
