Police officers investigate case of suspected stalking

Adrian Police officers, this past week, have responded to two false alarms at a home and a business, investigated a case of suspected stalking and other cases involving disturbances and thefts. Officers also had cases involving juveniles, including one involving a missing four year old child.
Monday, September 15, Officer Don Sellers served a warrant in the area of Business 71 Highway and Hazel Street. A female suspect was arrested on a warrant for passing bad checks in Bates County. She was transported to the Bates County Jail where she bonded out and was given a new court date.
The same day, Chief Charles Chapman, Officer Don Sellers, Bates County Deputy Shon Nelson, Butler Police Officer Ken Rush and his canine partner, Smokey, along with the Adrian Fire and First Responders, joined forces to locate a missing four year old boy. The child was reported missing from the area of Main and West Lexington Streets. The child was found hiding under a boat, moments before an Amber Alert would have been enacted. The child was reunited with his father, from whom he had been hiding.
