Police nab arson suspect

Saturday, June 7, Officer Sellers went to Harrisonville where he worked with the Harrisonville Police Department and arrested the second suspect believed to be connected to a rash of local burglaries and an arson case. The suspect was arrested on $25,000 bond. Stolen items were recovered, including a Global Positioning System unit.

Sunday, June 8, Chief Charles Chapman responded to an emergency call out regarding a Hispanic male armed with a machete at the Amble Inn. The man had allegedly assaulted three people. Chief Chapman responded to the location with Bates County Sheriff’s deputies. The suspect was located and taken into custody.
