Police investigate car wash theft
The Adrian Police Department made routine traffic stops this past week as well as investigated cases of loud noise, thefts or attempted thefts and a possible animal control situation. Saturday, December 22, Officer Cole responded to the MoJo Car Wash on First Street, where someone took advantage of the blowing snow to tear out a coin machine from its concrete containment. According to Police Chief Charles Chapman, the thief or thieves got approximately $300. The theft of the machine was accomplished by using a sledge hammer sometime between 2 and 6 a.m. If anyone heard or saw anything unusual in that area during that time period, please contact the Adrian Police Department at 816-297-2121 or call 297-2106 and leave a message.
