The Adrian Optimist Club has once again recognized an exemplary student. For April, senior Caleb Arnold was selected as the Adrian Optimist Student of the Month. Caleb is the son of John and Debbie Arnold. He has been an FFA member all through high school, and he is a member of TSA. In June, Caleb will be attending welding school in Tulsa, OK. After he completes the program in January 2010, he will begin working in the welding industry.
Like the previous student of the month recipients, Caleb received a certificate of recognition and $20 in Adrian Chamber of Commerce “Chamber Bucks.” Pictured left to right are: Optimist member/AHS Principal Chris Shanks, Caleb Arnold, and Optimist member/R-III Superintendent Kirk Eidson.
Students of the month are selected by AHS faculty based on the following criteria: improvement in or good grades; academic excellence; character; active and/or community service; leadership; accomplishments: academic, athletic, or community; behavior; attendance; and attitudes toward others/learning.
