On Saturday, June 12th, the rodeo arena at Ferguson Arena received a fresh coat of paint. Caleb Huntsman (pictured right) who is currently a Life Scout with the Adrian Boy Scout Troop 238, chose this project for his Eagle Scout Leadership Project. Caleb and eight other scouts from the troop and nine members of the Adrian Saddle Club spent the better part of Saturday scraping, prepping and repainting the entire rodeo arena. The project was moving along ahead of schedule until Mother Nature added a rainstorm right at the lunch break. Caleb decided to stop the project after lunch and scheduled to return one day during the week to finish the final touchups. Caleb had also asked Gerald Shaffer to help as his adult advisor.

If you are in the area, be sure to stop by the Adrian City Park and take a look at the newly painted arena. The Park Board, Saddle Club and Optimist Club are all very proud of Caleb and his team and appreciate what they donated to them.
