As The Adrian Journal goes to press on Tuesday, February 1, schools are closed, businesses are closing early, and the snow continues to fall. The National Weather Service in Kansas City/Pleasant Hill issued a Blizzard Warning on Monday, January 31, with an expected eight to 14 inches snow and 40 MPH winds. Dangerously frigid temperatures and wind chills of 10 to 15 below zero are forecasted for Bates County. This storm is projected to be one of the biggest in years.
