Mitten Tree

Tis the season for giving… and also the time for cold weather. Many children come to school not equipped with the appropriate clothing for this type of weather. They wear thin long sleeved shirts or t-shirts and they don’t have gloves or hats to keep warm. A lot of children also walk to school.

This year, the Adrian Chapter FCCLA is asking for your help. We are starting “The Mitten Tree”. FCCLA is asking that each family try to find coats, hats, mittens, scarves, boots, and other cold weather items; anything that will keep a child warm. These clothing items will stay at the school. This way, any teacher who has a student in need can contact the office to borrow these items for the day.

These items can be gently used, or you may also buy new ones. Please take this into consideration as you do your holiday shopping, and help us make “The Mitten Tree” happen.
