Man charged in Adrian Bank robbery

Adrian Police Chief Charles Chapman just received long-awaited information about the two people who, on two separate occasions, robbed the Adrian Bank. As of Tuesday. October 2, 2007, John Earl Hall, 44, of Joplin had been charged in a three-count indictment, returned by a federal grand jury, in Kansas City, Missouri. The indictment alleged that Hall used a firearm to steal $10,795 from the Adrian Bank on August 24, 2006. He was also charged with a felon in possession of a firearm, which was a 9 mm semi-automatic pistol.

Chapman also announced that John Hall’s girlfriend, Michelle D. Williams, who is also alleged to have robbed the Adrian Bank and others, pleaded guilty on April 3, 2007. She was sentenced to 36 months in prison and must pay $2,500 in restitution to the Sun City Bank in Miller, Missouri, for a robbery she committed there.
