Longtime Adrian landmark sees new life

By SHARON KEISEL
A long time Adrian landmark has undergone a lot of changes over the past few months. After standing pretty much idle for years, the building is seeing life once again, in a whole new way that reflects the changes in time.
The old building at 104 McColloh Street, referred to now as the McColloh Building, now houses an office for Warner Law, LLC and will soon be the home of Town and County Wireless, a business that will provide wireless, cell phone and satellite services for area residents.
Over the years, the building has served as home to a cheese factory, chicken hatchery, church, furniture store and even a flea market. The building was constructed in 1923 to house the Coop Cheese Factory. Then from the mid-1930’s to the late 1950’s or 1960’s, the building was a chicken hatchery, owned by two different businesses. In the years following, other businesses and a church occupied the building.
The McColloh Building has been modernized and will continue on in its new life with new businesses that reflect the decades of changes that have occurred since its humble beginnings. And it will continue to be a vital part of the Adrian history and future.
“We look forward to offering this as a business space,” said Randy Pike. “One that will bring expanded services to the Adrian community.”
