Local teen earns golden ticket to Hollywood

Jordan Loughridge recently participated in the National American Miss, her first pageant. She was selected to compete as a State Finalist. “I attended the pageant this summer and had the time of my life,” Jordan said. She took home the title of National American Miss Missouri Actress 2010. By winning the acting category, Jordan said, “This is my ‘Golden Ticket’ to Hollywood!”

Jordan is learning more about what her trip to Hollywood will entail. She will be attending the National Pageant in Anaheim, California from November 22-29. Jordan was given the choice to attend the National Pageant as the Miss Missouri Actress or represent her hometown. With the pride that all Blackhawks have, Jordan is going to be represent the wonderful town of Adrian as MISS ADRIAN. “I am looking forward to showing off my Blackhawk Pride at the National Pageant,” Jordan said.

The types of competition for Jordan in the National Pageant includes: Actress Competition; All-American Miss Competition; and several other events while at the National Pageant.

Jordan summarized this whole experience: “I hope that I can turn around and share the confidence and life long skills that I have received through National American Miss. My platform is “Being a Good Role Model” and I hope to give back to my school and community in a positive way! Being involved at the National level has inspired me to speak to students at Adrian and other schools and communities about the importance of being a good role model by stomping out bullying.”
