Let the Christmas season begin!

Shopping, lights, Santa, hot chocolate and a parade have started the 2011 Christmas season off with a bang in Adrian! Last Saturday the Adrian Chamber of Commerce held its 2nd Annual Christmas parade. Kids and adults dressed in winter coats and gloves, lined Main Street to watch the parade entries and collect candy. The parade was led by none other than Santa Claus, with a team of horses courtesy of Larry Cumpton.

Following the parade, Santa made his way to Frontier Village for the Western Missouri Antique Tractor and Machinery Association’s (WMAT&MA) annual Hot Chocolate Night. Kids shared their Christmas wishes with Santa and received a full-size candy bar and an apple donated by the Adrian Lions Club. They rode the Christmas train and other festive rides. The WMAT&MA Ladies Auxillary provided warmth with hot chocolate and offered cookies for a snack.
