Law enforcement searches for missing Amsterdam man

The Bates County Sheriff’s Office, the County Task Force and other law enforcement agencies are continuing to look for an Amsterdam area rancher who has been missing nearly a week. David Cook, manager for the Sterling Ranch near Amsterdam, was last seen Wednesday, November 19 when he reportedly said he was going to meet someone. He took only his glasses, a cell phone and a money clip, and left behind his wallet, vehicle keys and vehicles.
A $50,000 reward has been offered for information leading to Cook’s whereabouts. Anyone with information should call the Bates County Sheriff’s Department at 660-679-3232, or contact Chief Jim Garnett at the Butler Police Department at 660-679-6131.
