Independence Day Celebration

The annual Independence Day celebration sponsored by the Adrian Optimist Club will take place this year on Saturday, June 30 and as always, promises to be a day filled with fun activities for everyone.

To kick off the day’s events, the parade will begin at 10:30 a.m.. The Grand Marshal has yet to be announced. All local civic organizations, groups, antique car owners, kids’ clubs and businesses are invited to be part of the parade. For more information, contact Bryan Reynolds at 816-738-1844.

The Parade will travel down Main Street and end at the Adrian City Park where the fun will begin with a pork chop dinner and fixings or hot dogs and hamburgers as in years’ past. The noon diners will be entertained by a local band who will play all the old time favorites.
