High school and college students: make a donation on your vacation. Give blood!

The American Red Cross Bloodmobile will be in Adrian, Tuesday, July 14, from 1pm to 6pm at the Adrian Optimist Building.
They are having a Student Promotional “Make a Donation on Your Vacation.” Following are rules and regulations:
1. Eligibility: Any student donating or presenting to donate blood or platelets at an American Red Cross blood drive or donation center in the Greater Ozarks-Arkansas Region who is 16 years of age or older from June 1, 2009 through August 15, 2009 and enters the drawing via methods listed below. Sixteen-year-old consent forms may be downloaded at bloodisneeded.org.
2. Entries: To enter, students must meet basic donation eligibility guidelines, attempt to donate within the promotional timeline, and then either send an email to candonate@usa.redcross.org with their full name, address, phone number and donation date(s), or mail their information to: Blood Services Summer Drawing, 401 S Monroe, Little Rock, AR 72205. Students may enter one time for each donation during the timeline of the promotion. Any individual not following entry requirements will be disqualified. Any illegible or incomplete entry forms will also be disqualified. All entries must be received by August 20, 2009 to qualify.
3. Random Drawing Process: The drawing will be held on August 20, 2009. The American Red Cross Communications Department will contact the winner.
4. Prizes: There shall be a drawing for one laptop computer. Models and styles may vary depending upon availability.
5. Student enrollment status and donation dates will be verified prior to the announcement of the winner. If the winning entry does not meet contest eligibility guidelines, another name shall be drawn and declared the winner upon verification.
6. Winner will be required to sign a release allowing his/her name, hometown, and likeness to be used in advertising and promotional materials by the American Red Cross. If the winner is under 18, a parent will also need to sign the information release form.
7. Prize is non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.

This could by a good time for students to donate and they could be a winner of a laptop. One never knows.
The need for blood is constant. The gratification is instant. Mark that calendar now with a big red +, and take care of yourself by eating iron rich foods and drinking plenty of fluid. See you there!
