Happy-Go-Lucky named business of the month

The Adrian Chamber of Commerce’s featured business for August is the Happy Go Lucky Convenience Store and Gas Station located at McColloh Street and Missouri Highway 18. The business is owned by Edward Lakhani, who also has a similar business in Archie. The family-owned business has been in operation for two years in the building that has been at that location for about 15 to 20 years.

Happy Go Lucky is managed by Chris Freemeyer and currently, there are seven employees working full and part time. The convenience store offers customers daily food specials, deli foods, Bases Loaded Pizza (call in pizza orders are welcomed), snacks, fountain drinks, alcohol, tobacco products, money orders, prepaid phone time, lottery tickets, gasoline (Phillips 66 brand) and Adrian Bank ATM services.

“We are grateful to the Chamber of Commerce of Adrian, for giving us the opportunity to connect with our community,” Mr. Lakhani added.

He and Adrian manager, Chris Freemeyer were presented with the Adrian Chamber of Commerce’s Chamber mug of flowers on Tuesday August 18, 2009. Happy Go Lucky is open seven days a week; Monday through Thursday from 5 a.m., to 11 p.m., Friday from 5 a.m. to midnight, Saturday, 6 a.m. to midnight and Sunday from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m..
