Gasoline prices are moving on up

At a time of year when gasoline prices are typically low, the price of a gallon of gas has soared to a national average high of $3.38. The price has gone up nine cents just over the weekend and has risen 4% over the past week. The cost of gas has gone up 68 cents since this time last year. The $3.00 plus per gallon price has been in place since November 2010.
If further unrest develops in the middle east, expect gasoline, food and goods prices to shoot up more. The prediction by some in government of $5 per gallon for gasoline could well be a fact by mid- to late summer.
