Thursday, August 27, Crystal Manor staff and residents, along with the Adrian Fire and Police Departments took part in a mock fire drill at Crystal Manor. The training session involved a mock kitchen fire and a search for someone inside. After the main part of the drill was completed, Crystal Manor staff were instructed in the proper use of a fire extinguisher.

New Administrator Renee Hastings said the fire safety session was an inservice workshop for Crystal Manor employees. She looks forward to the continued partnership between the fire department and Crystal Manor.

Megan Bolin, staff member and wife of a firefighter, echoed Renee’s thoughts, adding that Crystal Manor will be working closely with the fire department to further improve safety procedures with future drills and training sessions.
