The Adrian Chamber of Commerce’s featured business for March is the Crooked Fence Gun Shop, located about three miles east and a little south of Adrian. The business is owned by Glenn Jones and opened in May, three years ago.

Glenn opened the shop after he retired from the boilermakers. Since he had worked on guns since he was about 12 years ago, he decided to expand on what he knew and loved and opened the shop. He laughed and said while he tinkers, it is his brother who is the expert gun smith. The two work together to provide customers with repair and maintenance of guns and equipment.

Crooked Fence Gun Shop offers customers ammunition and accessories for guns and a selection of new and used guns from about 175 models on sale. The shop also offers repair and cleaning services for both modern and muzzle loader guns. The shop has an extensive line of muzzle loader accessories as well. “We’ve probably got more muzzle loaders than anyone else around,” Glenn said.

Crooked Fence Gun Shop is located at Route 1, Box 468, Adrian. To get there, go east from U.S. 71 Highway, on Missouri Highway 18, three miles to 3003 Road. Go south on the gravel, 1 ½ miles to get to the shop. For more information call Glenn Jones at 816-297-2755 or 660-200-6084. “I thank the Chamber of Commerce for the flowers and the recognition,” he said. “I greatly appreciate it.”
