Courthouse tax ends

The last day of September brought an end to the month and also marked the end of the one half cent Courthouse sales tax.
The Bates County Commissioners held a short ceremony outside at the bandstand on the Courthouse lawn, to mark the occasion, on Wednesday, October 1.
