Council approves Manor budget

The Adrian Board of Aldermen met in regular session on Monday, June 9 at 7 p.m. at Adrian’s City Hall.

The Board heard a report from Adrian Manor Administrator Doug Fredrickson, and reviewed the proposed 2008-2009 budget for the nursing home. After much discussion, the Board unanimously moved to accept the proposed budget, which included a 5% cost of living increase for Manor employees, a retirement program with 3% matching funds and the exclusive use of BKD firm for auditing purposes. A stipulation to increase the Manor’s rent from $3,000 per month to $4,000 per month was included in the successful motion.

Complete minutes for the meeting will be available in next week’s Adrian Journal.
