Class 2 District Champs

The Adrian Blackhawks finished a very successful season by advancing to the Class 2 playoffs. After moving up from Class 1 football, this was the first season for the Blackhawks to play in Class 2.

Last year’s team graduated several All State players, so nobody knew what to expect from this year’s squad.  But much to the Blackhawks benefit, Head Coach George Bruto had been this route many times in his 25 seasons as Head Coach for Adrian. Bruto and the Assistant Coaches molded the team along the way to be winners no matter what the circumstances were.  

The season began with a drubbing of the El Dorado Springs Bulldogs and ended with a gutsy dog fight against the Carrollton Trojans. This year’s Blackhawks were honored with 13 all conference selections.
