The Advisory Committee of the Bates County Children’s Center is proceeding with the construction of a new child advocacy center. The proposed project will enhance the response to suspected child abuse cases by combining the wisdom and professional knowledge of various investigative agencies and other professionals. These coordinated efforts provide the knowledge, skills and resources to assist suspected child abuse victims and their families. Children’s Center maintains focus on the child and helps to ensure that systems designed to protect children are able to do so effectively.
The future site of the Children’s Center is located on the corner of Howard and Thompson Streets in Butler. The Center will serve children in the 27th Circuit which includes St. Clair, Henry and Bates Counties.
