Chamber recognizes Hawkins Daycare

The Adrian Chamber of Commerce’s featured business for July is Hawkins Daycare, located at 220 Skyline Drive. The business is owned by Marsha Hawkins, who has been taking care of children since 1976. She has been in Adrian since 1980 and has been a licensed daycare provider since 1988.

Marsha and her seven employees, Marie Ray, Deana Self, Jami Chastain, Marianna Cawood, Kayla Lesmeister and Taylor Welston, take care of approximately 39 children. Some of the children are full-time in her daycare while others are part-time, with some of then coming in before and/or after school. She is licensed to provide care for 27 full-time daycare children.

“I’d like to say thank you to all the people who have supported me all these years,” Marsha said. “And I would like to thank the Chamber of Commerce for recognizing me as the business of the month.”
