Chamber BAT hears from Vision 2007

The Chamber of Commerce Business About Town (BAT) meeting was held on Friday, June 15 at Wimfield’s on Main. Local business owners heard from Mark Lovelace, Vision 2007.

Lovelace opened the meeting by explaining how the Vision 2007 project began. He said that Adrian was one of eight towns initially selected to receive grant money to make improvements. Out of the eight towns, Adrian is the only one still working on their improvement project.

“We’re really serious about keeping Adrian businesses alive,” Lovelace said.

Lovelace showed the group a diagram of the spun concrete poles that will be a part of the Vision 2007 project. The poles will have space for banners, and Lovelace suggested that the Chamber of Commerce sponsor seasonal banners that would be changed quarterly.

Lovelace also spoke to the group about the groundbreaking ceremony, to be held on July 9 at 6:30 p.m.
