Car, Truck and Bike Show a success

Last Saturday, August 11, Adrian’s City Park was host to the first annual Car, Truck and Bike Show. Matthew Tallman, a senior at Adrian High School, dreamed up the event after entering his car, a 1974 Nova, in several other shows. Tallman, a member of the South 71 Cruisers Car Club, contacted Chuck Hough, Adrian Park Board President, and the two planned the event.
Thirty-nine cars and trucks and four motorcycles entered the first annual Car, Truck and Bike Show. There were eight different classes: antique, classic, custom, stock cars, street rods, trucks, jeeps and motorcycles. Winners in each category were: Custom, D.J. Tallman, 1967 Firebird; Street rod, Ronald Jackson, 1923 Model T; Truck, Tricia Morrow, 1971 Chevrolet; Motorcycle, Charlie Raysik, 1946 Cushman; Antique, Harley Semesk, 1925 Chevrolet Coach; Stock Car, Perry Rhodes, 1955 Ford T-Bird; Classic, Eldon Lacy, 1969 Mustang; Jeep, Tyler Tolle, 1958 Willy.
