Become a regular blood donor in 2011

The American Red Cross Bloodmobile will be in Adrian on Tuesday, January 4 from 1:00pm - 6:00pm at the Adrian Optimist Building. With the beginning of a new year, 2011, it is a good time to start being a regular blood donor. All types of blood are needed and greatly appreciated by those in need. Those in need may be you, a friend, a neighbor, even someone far away, or a relative.

Donating blood is easy and only takes about one hour of your time. You must be at least 17 years of age, weigh at least 110 lbs., and feeling okay that day. Get plenty of rest, drink extra fluids, and eat iron rich foods.

As you pick up that 2011 calendar, mark January 4 with a big red X or a circle around it so you will be sure to remember a good way to start off 2011.
