Be proud - make an effort to help save lives

The American Red Cross Bloodmobile will be in Adrian Tuesday, November 8 from 1:00-6:00 p.m. at the Adrian Optimist Building. You only have to be feeling well that day, be at least 17 years of age, weigh 110 lbs. and have a good iron count. Most deferred donors are due to low iron count. To help increase your iron count, eat meats, fruits and vegetables, whole grain breads and molasses.

You can be a regular donor by making some good choices as you go about every day. Giving blood is easy and simple and you will be proud of yourself for making an effort to help save the life of three people whom you may know. However, they are always very thankful to have received your blood and that gave them more time. Take an hour out of your busy day, bring a donor card or some type of ID and make a visit to the Optimist Building on Tuesday, November 8 from 1:00-6:00 p.m. I will be there -- will you?
