Traveling almost 4,000 miles from Alaska to Adrian, Preacher Matthew Harris and his family have made their new home in Blackhawks country. Matthew is the new preacher at the Adrian Christian Church (ACC). He gave his first sermon on Sunday, July 6, 2014.

Matthew grew up in Indiana.  After high school he attended Ozark Christian College where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Theology (New Testament). Harris first accepted a preacher position in Urich, MO. After ministering in a couple of other places, Harris, his wife Michelle and their children moved to Alaska.  With their sons getting older, Matthew and Michelle realized the need to give their boys more opportunities. They began looking for a new church and found an opening at the Adrian Christian Church. They arrived in Adrian just in time to watch the 4th of July parade and fireworks.

Matthew and his wife Michelle and their four sons jumped in and joined the ACC VBS camaraderie. The Harris boys are: Hunter (junior), Logan (sophomore), Dakota (8th Grade) and Gage (6th Grade). VBS was a big week for the Harris Family and the church, and they met many new people in one week of VBS.
