Adrian students promote summer reading
Ms. Cindi Henrich, an Adrian R-III 3rd Grade Teacher, developed a project for her students that would encompass a wide-range of learning. Her class accepted the challenge to collect aluminum cans as a fundraiser to buy books for the Adrian Community Library at the end of the school year. By adding to the books already at the Community Library, they could visit during the summer months and read their donated books, and any other kids could read them, too! On Monday, May 12, Ms. Henrich and her class were greeted with a warm welcome by Roma Welch. They presented her with 11 books, all purchased through the school’s spring book fair that was organized by R-III Librarian Karen Cochran.
The Adrian Community Library is open during the summer. Readers of all ages are encouraged to stop in and see what the Library has to offer.
