Adrian students celebrate read across America

Read Across America was celebrated for the 13th year at Adrian R-III. The theme this year was “Dr. Seuss books are ‘Egg’cellent!” The day was filled with guest readers, DEAR (Drop Everything and Read) time, a visit from “The Cat in the Hat” and an assembly. Over 160 students dressed up as their favorite book character. A book was given as a prize to each classroom winner. Mr. Borgmeyer, Elementary Principal, even got in on the “egg”cellent event. He was “egged” by two lucky students - Jacob Mager and Mickeaylla Sproat. The local NEA teacher’s group were sponsors of the annual event. The Adrian PTO provided each classroom with cookies for a special treat.
