The mission of the Duke University Talent Identification Program (TIP) at Duke University in North Carolina is to identify and support academically talented students in a 16-state region. Eligible 7th grade students may register to take the ACT during December or February. Seventh-grade student eligibility is determined from a variety of standardized test scores taken during the 6th grade year.

Seven local students, Brohde Bennett, Wade Cumpton, Sara Geringer, Colton Kimminau, Kali Krogsdale, John Thompson, and Hunter Chamberlain, participated in the ACT program for 7th grade students. Brohde, Adam, Wade, Sara, and Kali have qualified for TIP’s State Recognition Ceremony based upon their ACT scores. These students are invited to attend the 2011 State Recognition Ceremonies at the Drury University campus in Springfield, MO, on May 20, 2011.
