The Disney characters of “Aladdin” came to life in Adrian last Friday, April 8 and Sunday, April 10.  Under the direction of Allison Oates (with assistance from Linda Zellmer), R-III middle and high school students spent countless hours preparing for the musical production.  Their efforts paid off with stunning performances by two different casts.

Playing the part of Aladdin was Austin Potter (Friday) and Seth Rosekopf (Sunday). Princess Jasmine was played by Jordan Loughridge (Friday) and Kireston Luptak (Sunday). Kireston said, “The Aladdin Production made my sophomore year! I love to act and sing, so getting to play Jasmine was the most fun and exciting thing to happen. I’m very glad my castmate, Seth Rosekopf, Aladdin, asked me to audition with him. The amazing director, Allison Oates, really made this play feel like a whole new world!”

“Aladdin” was produced by Adrian R-III drama students, Allison Oates and Linda Zellmer. Mrs. Zellmer said, “It is an honor to work with such students as we have in the Adrian R-3 schools. The students that participate in plays have memories that will last a lifetime!” Adding to that, Mrs. Oates said, “I am extremely proud of both casts and enjoyed the production. I appreciate all the assistance from my mother and I’m looking forward to next year.”
