Adrian R-3 School Board accepts bids for Athletic Complex

The Adrian R-3 Board of Education met in regular session Thursday, May 17, 2007. The meeting was called to order at 7 p.m., by President Jacque Underwood, in the Conference Room. Other board members present were Jay Bagby, Jim Ferguson, Steve Lewis, Vanessa Tallman, Jim Tenholder and Gary Tolle. The High School building and the Athletic Complex project were discussed. There were three bids to build a new press box. One bid was from a group out of Iowa for $3000 plus. Another bid was from a group out of Windsor to build the box there and haul it to the site. However, that bid did not include the cost of the crane and equipment to set the box in place on the bleachers. The third bid was from Chuck Miller for $9941 for building on site. A motion was made by Tolle and seconded by Lewis to accept the Miller bid. All approved.
