Adrian police assists in forgery investigation

Adrian police officers made the usual traffic stops and also investigated loud music complaints this past week. Officers also assisted the Butler Police Department in a forgery investigation. The Adrian Police Department was among many police, fire and other emergency services personnel who took part in the special Nine Eleven processional and memorial service held on Patriots Day, Thursday, September 11.
Monday, September 8, Adrian Police Chief Charles Chapman, Butler Police Officer Rush and Adrian Officer Don Sellers, stopped a car at Business 71 and Missouri Highway 18, East, in reference to a forgery case being investigated by the Butler Police Department. A suspect was taken into custody, charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license. The suspect was transported by the Butler officer and placed on a 24 hour hold, pending further investigation.
