Adrian Optimists honor area students of the month

The Adrian Optimist Club is pleased to recognize the Students of the Month from Adrian, Ballard and Miami. Students of the Month are selected by high school faculty based on the following criteria: improvement in or good grades; academic excellence; character; active and/or community service; leadership; accomplishments: academic, athletic, or community; behavior; attendance; and attitudes toward others/learning.

For their exemplary efforts in school, the recipents received a certificate of recognition and $20 in Adrian Chamber of Commerce “Chamber Bucks” from the Adrian Optimists.

Pictured right: Senior Bailey Carroll has been selected as this month’s Adrian High School Student of the Month. Bailey is the daughter of Billy and Lisa Carroll.

Middle: James McLay has been honored as the September Student of the Month for Miami High School. James is the son of Jim and Kim McLay.

Far right: Andy Engelhardt is the Ballard High School Student of the Month. Andy, a senior, is the son of Charles and Lawanda Engelhardt.
