Adrian Optimist Club hosts Zone 7 Oratorical Contest

  On Sunday, March 21st, the Adrian Optimist Club hosted the West-MO District annual Oratorical Contest.  Zone 7 is made up of Optimist Clubs from Adrian, Clinton, Harrisonville, and Pleasant Hill.  There were a total of 5 contestants.  The winner of the competition was Makyna Six, Adrian.  Second Place was awarded to Kennedy Early, Clinton; and 3rd place went to Ashley Taber from Harrisonville.  The first and second place winners will move on to the regional competition which will be held Sunday, April 11th in Clinton, MO.  The contestants are vying for the District competition, which is the next level after the Regional.  If they make it to the District competition, they will be competing for a $2,500 college scholarship from Optimist International.
